SPECIFIC CLINICAL INFORMATION AND WARNINGS FOR TARGET SPECIES

Bacterial and fungal otitis often develops secondary. The underlying cause should be investigated and treated.

The product should never be administered parenterally, it has a toxic effect.

USE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

The safety of the product has not been evaluated during pregnancy and lactation.

In dogs and cats, dermal absorption of miconazole, polymyxin B and prednisolone is very low. No teratogenic/embryotoxic/fetotoxic and maternotoxic effects are expected due to absorption.

There is a possibility that the treated animals may ingest the active substances orally as a result of licking themselves. In this case, active substances can be expected to be seen in blood and milk.

It should only be used after a benefit/risk assessment by the veterinarian.

UNDESIRED / SIDE EFFECTS

Very rarely, deafness may occur with the use of this drug (especially in older dogs). In this case, treatment should be discontinued.

It is known that as a result of long-term and intensive use of superficial corticosteroid preparations, it initiates local and systemic effects that cause suppression of adrenal functions, thinning of the epidermis and delayed healing.

No other effects are expected other than those mentioned in the "Undesirable/Side Effects" section.

WARNINGS ABOUT DRUG RESIDUES IN FOOD

It should not be applied to animals with food value.

Cat and Dog
Shake before use.

It is used on the ear and skin.

Before starting treatment, the hair around the lesions should be trimmed; this should be repeated during treatment if necessary.

Ear infections (otitis externa):

Ears are cleaned and 5 drops of saniotic are instilled twice a day.

To distribute the medicine, gently massage the ears without causing pain.

Treatment should be continued uninterrupted for at least 7-10 days and at most 14 days. Even if the symptoms disappear, the recommended duration of treatment should be followed.

In cases where an ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestation is found, even if only one ear is infested, the other ear should also be treated. 5 drops should be instilled in both ears twice a day for 14 days.

Skin infections (minor superficial localized):

A few drops of saniotic are applied to the skin lesions to be treated twice a day and a good friction is made.

Treatment should be continued uninterrupted for a maximum of 14 days. Even if the symptoms disappear, the treatment should be continued for a few more days, the recommended treatment period should be followed.

In some persistent cases (ear or skin infections), it may be necessary to continue treatment for 2-3 weeks.

However, if prolonged treatment is required, re-examination by the veterinarian is required.
